On paper it has the most memory (64GB) and storage (8TB) at this weight. But the listing names a Core i9-1655U, and Intel's 13th-generation Core i9 list contains no U-series chip, so confirm the processor with the seller before buying.

- 15.6-inch touchscreen
Cons
- Stated processor (Core i9-1655U) not found in Intel's Core i9 list

How we picked
How we picked: our catalogue holds 8 laptops whose listing states a weight of exactly 1.94 kg, and this post covers all of them. All eight are Dell touchscreen laptops, seven with a 15.6-inch screen and one with a 16-inch screen, so several picks are the same Dell 15 model in different memory, storage and processor configurations; we say so where it applies. Three listings contain conflicts: two titles state less memory than the specifications, and one names a Core i9-1655U, a chip we could not find in Intel's 13th-generation Core i9 list. We kept them because they match the weight, and flag each conflict in the cons. Processor facts come from Intel. Prices on this page are live: each one is read from the store listing and shown with the time it was read. Nobody at wikilaptop.org has tested these units.
How to choose
What 1.94 kg means to carry
1.94 kg is about 4.3 lb. That is a normal weight for a 15.6-inch laptop with a full-size keyboard and is manageable in a backpack on a daily commute, though clearly heavier than a thin ultraportable. The stated weight excludes the charger, so add it when you judge your carry load.
Every laptop at this weight in our catalogue is a Dell touchscreen model, seven at 15.6 inches and one at 16 inches. If you carry the laptop all day, a lighter weight class will be easier.
Same laptop, different configurations
Most picks here are the Dell 15 in different configurations. Three share the Intel Core i7-1355U and differ only in memory (16GB or 32GB), storage (512GB or 1TB) and Windows edition. Compare them line by line: the configuration, not the model name, decides what you get.
If a configuration has unusually large memory or storage, ask whether Dell or the seller fitted it, since that can affect who handles warranty claims.
Processor: U-series chips for office work
All named processors here are Intel U-series chips built for thin, efficient laptops. Intel lists the Core i7-1355U, Core i5-1334U and Core 7 150U with 10 cores each, and the Core Ultra 7 255U with 12 cores and a 2025 launch, the newest at this weight.
For documents, browsers, meetings and spreadsheets, any of them is enough. The bigger differences are memory, storage and whether the listing states the exact chip at all.
Check listings that contradict themselves
Three listings here disagree with themselves. Two state 16GB of memory in the title but 32GB in the specifications (and one of them also lists different storage). A third names a Core i9-1655U, a chip we could not find in Intel's 13th-generation Core i9 list. Before buying any of these, ask the seller to confirm the configuration in writing.
Windows 11 Pro or Home
Five picks state Windows 11 Pro, one states Home, one states only Windows 11 without the edition, and one does not state an operating system. Microsoft lists BitLocker device encryption, Group Policy management and Windows Hello for Business among the features Pro adds. They matter if an employer manages the laptop.
Questions
Is 1.94 kg too heavy to carry every day?
For most commutes and campus walks it is manageable in a backpack, though noticeably heavier than an ultraportable. At about 4.3 lb before the charger, it suits people who carry the laptop regularly but not constantly. If you walk long distances or fly often, a lighter laptop will be easier over a full day.
What screen size fits this weight?
A 15.6-inch screen is the natural fit at around 1.94 kg, and seven of the eight picks here use one. The Dell 16 Plus fits a 16-inch screen into the same weight. Both sizes give more room for reading and spreadsheets than 13-inch or 14-inch laptops while staying portable.
Why are all these laptops from Dell?
Our catalogue currently holds eight laptops that state exactly 1.94 kg, and all eight are Dell touchscreen models. That reflects the catalogue at the time of writing, not a preference for one maker. Other makers appear in the neighboring weight classes on wikilaptop.org, and this list grows as the catalogue does.
Does the stated weight include the charger?
No. Makers state the weight of the laptop itself. The charger and cable add to what you carry, so check the adapter size on the maker's page if weight matters to you.
Did you test these laptops?
No. Nobody at wikilaptop.org has used these units. We chose them from the specifications stated on each listing and cross-checked processors against Intel's published lists. We do not describe screen quality, keyboard feel, heat or battery life, because those claims need testing we have not done.
